Rock crystal

The ancient Greeks saw rock crystal as a kind of frozen water, i.e. ice. Thus, it was christened crystallos. It was not until the 18th century that the word mountain was added, which is where the mineral comes from. Its energies are giving and taking. It is attributed to the planets moon and sun. As well as the elements fire and water. The great mother is worshipped with it as a deity. Associated metals are silver, copper and gold. Rock crystal balls are placed on the altar at full moon as a symbol of the goddess. It stands for the spirit and intellect of man.

Magic wands made of rock crystal or set with one were very popular in the past. In Wicca, a protective circle is built with 13 (lunar year) or 21 (lunar year and Sabbats) rock crystals.
